Cassandra Pascal, 40, Department of International Magical Cooperation, former Ravenclaw. She's the 'rock' of the family, really -- she's grounded, level-headed, and the sort of person to stay calm no matter the situation. She's good good at giving advice and being supportive of her family.

Edward Pascal, 41, (THIS KEEPS CHANGING, DAMMIT), former Gryffindor. Loud, outgoing, and very friendly, he's the sort of guy who never really 'grew up'. Oh, he's mature, mind you -- but he really likes being childish and having fun. He's also quick to temper, especially when it comes to taking care of his family -- a real papa bear. The second eldest child of Cassiopeia and Aristedes Cromwell, Andromeda was the second disappointment to her parents. They, of course, wished for a male heir to carry out the family name, and so far had only produced daughters-- good for producing more pureblooded children, but not good for making the family name live on. Neither of their parents were the 'dream'. The house always felt cold, and their was a bit of aloofness to it. Their mother was always a bit cold and unfeeling, and the stricter of the two parents. Hours of lessons, training, and everything it took to be a proper Pureblood came from her. Their father was only slightly more lenient in his treatment -- he spoiled his daughters for their good behavior, but otherwise remained... well, not a part of his girls' lives.

Andromeda is was painfully close to both of her sisters. Being so close in age and living very sheltered lives growing up, the became closer and closer over the years with a bond that seemed almost inseperable. They had vastly different personalities, of course. Damaris was the one people always noticed; after all, she inherited the family looks, didn't she? Not to mention her outgoing personality! And, oh, Charisma-- the pale beauty who not only had managed to get soft, pale, and dainty looks, but also managed to fit right into the Pureblood social scene without any trouble.

And then there was Andie. The quiet one. The 'plain' one. Like any Cromwell, she had her stunning looks, but in an entirely different way from her sisters. She was more of the natural brand of beauty; dark hair and eyes, fair skin, a petite build. She was quieter than either of her sisters, more of a casual observer than anything else, and changed her actions and personality based on who she was surrounded by. Because of her quiet, observant nature, Andie saw the world from many perspectives and had many thoughts and ideas running through her head at any given moment. Sure, a lot of the time she acted just like either sisters, earning comments that they were all really the same person and people could easily 'do without' one of the others, but they couldn't possibly have been any more different!

At school, Andie was sorted into Slytherin, of course. The action didn't surprise her in the least-- she was a Cromwell after all, and it was only proper that she end up there. She started out her schooldays as any pureblood raised in the right sort of home would do-- hating of anyone of 'lesser' status than she, particularly blood traitors and mudbloods. In the back of her mind, however, she was never really sure why she believed so firmly in this. She just knew what her family had taught her over the years in their manor.

Personality:

Being the middle child, Andie had a tendency to sink into the background -- she wasn't the doll for showing off that Charisma was, nor did she have to take up the family name quite like her older sister. She became the quiet observer, choosing to sit back and watch as opposed to throwing herself into social situations. Oh, she could if she had to, and not have any problem with it, but she didn't take to that scene nearly as well as her sisters. Because of her tendency to read, and to observe, she became a bit more worldly and open than the rest of her family. Still, she's every bit the Slytherin princess that she was raised to be, and it shows.

She's the studious sort, always managing to get good marks, though she balances that with having a small social life, and being close to certain people. She's friendly and polite to everyone, as her upbringing wouldn't let her do anything less. Sure, she shouldn't be as friendly as she is with Mudbloods, but she's beginning to question the ideals that she was raised with -- not that she'd openly admit this, of course, but there you go.

She's close to her sisters, incredibly so, and when they were growing up, shared everything with them. Becoming a teenager, however, has led her to being more secretive, which kills her, but... it's better than telling them she disagrees with their beliefs.

Andie can't help but voice her opinions -- that and her emotions are worn right on her sleeve... save when it comes to, or about, her family. Those? Are kept locked up tightly. She won't speak an ill word against them, nor will she speak to them about any ideas that she has that are different. She molds herself to fit right in with them, because losing her family is one of her worst nightmares.

Physical Description:

Andromeda is petite- she inherited her mother's exact height (5'5"), and she is thin. She has very dark hair (again, inherited from her mother) that falls a few inches below her shoulders and frames her face attractively. Andy has high cheekbones and her cheeks are naturally rosy. Most consider her one of the prettiest girls at school, and she knows it.

She keeps well-groomed (yes she’s one of those two-hours-in-the-bathroom girls most of the time) for the most part, but doesn’t have a problem with schlepping around in comfy pajamas with no makeup and her hair pulled into a ponytail if she’s just hanging around with her close friends. Now the maple is a tree most commonly found all over Canada. This country has a beautiful red maple leaf on their flag as well. The maple is a symbol of freedom and pride. Now is there any more proud and free a magical creature than the unicorn? Maybe a centaur...But all in all the unicorn is the magical creature that craves liberty and independence from humans the most. Also, if you ever meet a unicorn, you will meet no prouder nor distiguished a creature. If you are ever lucky to get close enough to one that is! This all came to a crash (quite literally) one day when she ran into one Ted Tonks in the halls. Her first reaction, of course, was to be quite annoyed-- but with the way he reacted to the situation, that anger melted away and she quickly forgave him. Time went past and, somehow or another, she grew closer to the boy, though she never informed her sisters of what she was up to. When she spent time went off to spend time with him, she fed her sisters a lie about schoolwork, or meeting some other bloke. Anything but telling them she was spending time with a Muggleborn and enjoying it quite a bit. It pained her to lie to them, it really did, and to this day she wonders what would have happened if she had just been honest.

Slowly, her views changed. No longer was her world so black, white, and minor shades of grey. It was a lot of grey and not nearly as simple as she thought it was. She was making friends left and right with bloodlines of all sorts, something that her family was certainly frowning upon, but Andromeda was beginning to care less and less. Oh, she still loved her family and wanted to please them, but she was beginning to realize what all she had missed out on by shutting so many people out of her life.

After a bit of time, she ended up dating Ted, sneaking off from her common room for snogs, shags, and just to spend time with the Ravenclaw. She was a girl in love and she was thrilled.

And then? Then 'it' happened.

Andromeda Electra Tonks was a pregnant teen, just shy of leaving Hogwarts for good. At first, she didn't want to have the child, and ran off to Madam Pomfrey, begging for a magical solution. She didn't get one (not one that didn't involve informing her parents, anyway), so she resolved that, yes, she would have the baby. It would bring about scandal, of course, but Andromeda thought she could handle it.

When her parents got wind of the news, they were infuriated and determined to keep the Black name from being ruined any further. Sirius'd done a fine enough job on his own of making the family look bad -- they didn't need another troublemaker as well. Andie struggled with telling her family about who the child's father was -- had it been a pureblooded boy, it might not have been so horrid. But she was with a Muggleborn and there was no possible way that they'd stand for that. So she did the only thing she could think of-- she made plans to run away to marry Ted.

After her final NEWTs at school and gathering a few of her things up at home, Andie finally ran away from her old life, eager to start anew. She misses her family terribly and wishes things could have turned out differently, but such is life. She loves the life she's leading now -- she's a mother and a wife, working as a mediwitch at St. Mungo's, and she couldn't be much happier.

Facts:
Andromeda is the constellation of the chained maiden, appropriate for someone whose family had forbidden her from marrying the one she loved (in this case it seems that she broke her own chains).

Andie was almost put into Gryffindor. Almost. She begged the sorting hat not to, however, and at the time couldn't imagine why it would think that that house would suit her. She knows now, of course, and almost wishes she had gone along with it. She's never told anyone this.

Ravenclaw Leos are brilliant scholars, loudly adding to classroom discussions and impressing others with the breadth, if not depth, of their knowledge. Personal History:

For what Robert and Jacqueline Evans knew, neither of their families had anything very strange or out of the ordinary going on in them. Sure, every family had their issues and quirks, but from what they knew, there was nothing particularly special about theirs. Of course, they had been left unaware of the ‘special’ and rare people that seemed to pop up every couple of generations.

That was until their son Theodore was born. Oh, when he was a baby, he seemed like any other child. It wasn’t until he was a bit older (around five or six) that... strange things began to happen. They’d cut his rapidly growing hair, and it’d come back. He’d somehow get a toy he wanted but was unable to reach it. They managed to brush it off at first, thinking that theywere just strange and over thinking things. As their younger daughter grew older and happened to show the same qualities as him… well, they couldn’t help but wonder.

He was always a show-off and a jokester. He loved having all eyes on him and had a tendency to get upset when they weren’t. When his parents were entertaining friends, or out being entertained, and they took the children with him, he always had to be goofy and make the adults laugh. It was a cute and endearing trait, for the most part, aside from the strange little things he would do. Without realizing, he was showing his gift of magic.

When the boy was eleven, he received a strange letter inviting him to a school called Hogwarts. He’d already been enrolled in a decent Muggle school (nothing posh or elite, however – his parents were never all that rich), so the letter came as bit of a shock. Even more of a shock was when the family realized it was a school that taught children magic and their son was, indeed, a wizard. It came as a shock to the entire family, but after a bit of discussion they decided it would be best for the boy to go. After all, if he had natural talent, why deny him the change to learn how to use it?

Being Muggleborn, he was behind most students when it came to knowing about the wizarding world, which lead to him obsessing over learning as much as he could before attending school, and even when he was there. Much to the boy’s surprise, he was sorted into Ravenclaw House. From what he read, knew, and heard, it seemed as if Gryffindor would have been a much better fit. But, as time wore on, it became obvious that his need to know outweighed his need to show.

After being friendly with the ‘wrong’ sort of Pureblood, and being called that name for the first time, he found himself determined to prove that he was worthy and capable of learning magic. He also developed a love for Quidditch and managed to land himself a spot on the house team. A generous friend loaned him the money to get a broom, and Ted worked his ass off in the summer to be able to pay said friend back.

He took naturally to wandwork in school. Sure, he did all right in almost all of his classes, but wandwork held his attention better than anything else. History of Magic, sure he liked it, but it didn’t hold his interest. Astronomy? Boring. Divination? Worthless. Herbology? Even moreso. Potions was okay, but wandwork? Wandwork was the most useful thing he could do.

When it came time to decide what he wanted to do with his life… well, he was clueless. Absolutely clueless. It’d be hard to find a decent job in the Muggle world, not having gone to Muggle school, but he wasn’t sure what sort of wizarding job he wanted either. Eventually, he decided… hey, why not work in the Ministry? Decent money, okay benefits, etc. He wasn’t fond of the idea of a boring job that involved sitting around all day, but he didn’t want to do anything mad like become an Auror or something like that. In the end, he decide on becoming an Obliviator – it let him do wandwork ,be in on the various exciting things that went down, and kept him mostly out of harm’s way! Of course, he’d be willing to risk his life too… but, what good was he to anyone else if he got himself killed?

He passed his exams, entered the program, and has been working there ever since. And driving his boss insane in the process.

Personality:

Theodore Evans has always, always been a people person. Never much of a flirt, no, and he’s never really gotten involved with women in a ‘serious’ relationship, but he has a large group of friends. He loves being the centre of attention and making others smile and laugh. He has a knack for trying to make his long, boring days in the office a bit more interesting – jokes, pranks, anything to make the time pass a bit more quickly. He was the same way in school, of course, something professors who had him might remember.

Though he’s the joking, silly sort, he’s also quick to get serious and knows just when to do it. Of course, he hates doing it most of the time, but he will buckle down when it comes time to do it. He’s never really quick to lose his temper, considering it a waste to let others get the best of him, especially those idiotic blood elitists. It hurts, sure, and things will bother him for weeks, maybe even months, and he can certainly dwell on hurt or a wound, but he’s not the type to act out on that hurt. Not usually, anyway – the exceptions are if you’re hurting family or friends. Or, hell, people he torments and claims he doesn’t like, like…a co-worker that annoys him. Then, and only then, will he act more irrationally.

Also, despite the joking and silliness, he’s quite well-informed and intelligent. He reads quite a bit and, like any Ravenclaw, has a desire to know things, if only for the sake of knowing them. This leads to a habit of his – debating. Ted tends to debating things quite a bit, and even if he’s wrong, he’ll keep at it. He just enjoys it, although ignorant idiots? Tend to make him angry quite a bit.

Physical Description:

The first thing about Ted? He’s tall. Really, really tall. He clocks in at around six feet and four inches, with a sturdy build that can be (misleadingly) intimidating at times. While he’s tall and muscular, he’s definitely not the bullying sort. He’s sort of a big, goofy teddy bear, really and can usually be seen flashing a bright and wide smile. Add to this a mop of messy brown hair that he’s more often than not forgotten to cut, hazel eyes, and a larger-than-average nose and you have Ted’s appearance.

Surprisingly, more often than not, he can he seen dressing in typical ‘office’ style, as opposed to the laidbackness one might expect from him. Nice pants, a shirt, and tie… he usually looks fairly professional. Of course, he has his times of relaxing and changing to something much more casual, but he’s definitely a much more ‘formal’ sort of guy when it comes to dress.

Hobbies and talents:
1.) He likes debating everyone and anyone who goes along with it. It’s something that hasn’t changed from his school days, especially if it’s a subject he’s passionate about. If it’s just something that’s not an issue close to him, he might not be as interested, but he’ll still keep at it.
2.) Sitting in an office all day? Yeah, that’s awfully boring when there aren’t any Dark Wizards running around and a need to wipe the minds of Muggles clean. So, he’s taken his love of pranking to the workplace and he can think of some damn amusing things to do to pass his time.
3.) Flying. For a Muggleborn, he developed a lot of skill at it. Sure, he can't fly nearly as often as he used to, but he still likes to do it on occasion.

Weaknesses:
1) Despite his silly, joking nature, he takes his bloodline a bit seriously. While he doesn’t actually believe it makes him inferior, he does know that he’s at more of a disadvantage than anyone else because of it. Thus, he goes to great lengths to try and overcome that ‘weakness’.
2) His attention span. Or, you know, lack thereof. If it’s not something that piques his interest, he’ll get bored with it in a matter of minutes and want to toss whatever it is aside, ignore the person he’s talking to, etc etc. He’s much better about this than he used to be, but still, it’s bad.
3.) Women, in the sense that... he can't stand seeing a female upset or hurt. Ever. It's one of those things that just seems completely wrong to him and he'll do anything to avoid cause it, and anything to fix it.

Magical Stuffs

He has more than enough skill with wandwork, but he’d have a difficult time mustering up the emotion. He’d be able to tap into it if he tried, but it wouldn’t be easy.

There was a reason he hadn't signed up for some of the other departments in the Ministry. Being an Obliviator was a hell of a lot simpler than a Hit Wizard or an Auror. You went in, cleaned up messes, and got out of there. Simple as that. No fighting, no injuries, no drama. A person could keep away from dark wizards and not worry about being harmed -- at least, not much.

Of course, those were wizards and typically not creatures. But, hell, other creatures? He could at least handle. This one, however, was a bit more difficult. Ted's head was practically ringing as the dementor approached, but he held his wand steady, ignoring the pounding voices in his head that told him he wasn't good enough, not strong enough, and for a second... for a second he almost believed them.

But that passed as quickly as it came and in a steady voice, he finally managed the spell. "EXPECTO PATRONUM!"

There was a flash of silver and he barely caught sight of a figure galloping towards the hooded figure before he ran away as quickly as possible.

Alignment: Very, very much Anti-Voldemort, of course. He’d be more outspoken about it if he weren’t worried about how it would affect his family.

Sam is tall, but most certainly not to be called lanky. Though he is slightly muscular, there are definitely others that are built sturdier than the youngest Winchester. He makes his brother Dean look short, which really is no easy task, and is rather leaner than his older brother. He stands at a total of six feet and three inches, and weighs in around 170 lbs depending on the day. His hair is a natural dark brown, and his eyes match with a lighter shade of hazel. He tries to shave as often as he can, but sometimes Sam just gets the gruffy sort of look to him -- it's okay, he pulls it off well. All in all, Sam is a pretty good-lookin' guy. Brief Power Description:

Up until some time just before Jessica died, Sam had no powers of any real importance to mention. Since a few months before Jessica's death, though, he's been experiencing something called "prophetic dreams." It seems that he is also able to sense supernatural activity, at least at a subconscious level, and these visions that he has always seem to eventually come true. He is also able to pinpoint when, sometimes roughly and sometimes exactly, what he sees will happen. And apparently -- something that has happened only once before -- when Sam gets very emotional, he has performed some sort of act of telekinesis.

Sam's smarts really are in the books, but it seems that he's also able to adopt those abilities with books into the real world. With his plethora of knowledge in law, it's no doubt that he could weasel his and Dean's way out of a few nasty little court visits, or what have you. He also has some expertise in weaponry, mostly guns, thanks to the days he spent helping daddy.

Brief History:

Born on May 2nd 1983, Samuel Winchester is the younger son of Mary and John Winchester, with an older brother named Dean. Unfortunately for Sam, he was never able to know his mother very well – when he was only six months old, she was killed by a demon that would later haunt him in his life, above the very crib that he was sleeping in. The house burned down in flames that night, destroying any memories and mementos the family might have had.

When his father realized it was a demon that had killed his wife, he immediately began training the boys in finding, hunting, and killing supernatural beings. The boys were trained to be skilled in various types of weaponry and combat. Unlike his older brother, though, Sam didn’t take very well to the way his father raised the boys. The constant moving and fighting didn’t sit well with the youngest Winchester, and much to his brother’s dismay, always ended up in huge battles with his father over their lifestyle. Despite it all, however, Sam managed to get top grades in school, which led to him deciding to study law at Stanford University.

That decision led to the biggest fight he’d ever had with his father.

Of course, John didn’t want his son off at school. He felt that he should stay with the family business. Sam, however, was determined to go to school and wouldn’t listen to reason.. Of course, his one regret was leaving his brother behind, but he always felt that the family lifestyle wasn’t for him. He left, with John’s lack of support (he’d told Sam that if he left, to never come back), and didn’t plan on going back to the family.

But, being a Winchester, things never stayed normal for long. While he was at school he met a girl, Jessica Moore, and fell in love with her. He even had plans to propose, but unfortunately, when he was called away by his brother to help with a hunt, she was killed by the same demon that killed his mother. Ridden with guilt, he finally agreed to go back into the family business with his brother, and search for their father that had gone missing. Of course, for Sam it was more of a way to find revenge for his girlfriend’s death.

They’ve hunted many things in their travels, seen many things, and been to plenty of places throughout their travels. As the brothers got closer to finding the demon they’ve hunted for years, Sam began to develop his ‘abilities’. They started about six months before Jessica died and have only gotten stronger. He can see into the future, though he has no control over when or where he gets these ‘visions’, and all of them are connected to the demon. Briefly, he showed the ability to use telekinesis, but only once. He hasn’t used the ability since.

But since Jessica's death, the younger Winchester tended to keep to himself more than anything. He was good at dealing and talking to people while he and Dean were looking for clues during a hunt, but that didn't mean he ever liked it. Dean was always trying to pry him out of his shell, of course, and sometimes... sometimes he did, but mostly, he kept to himself and his laptop.

So, there he was, sitting at a table in a small cafe with his laptop in front of him and a cup of coffee beside it. While he was here, he figured he might as well do a bit more research -- God only knew what his brother was up to, but Sam figured he might as well do something productive to pass time until he saw him again. or went looking. Whichever happened first.

Drumming his fingers on the table, he hesitated for a moment, chewing on the thumb of his free hand before turning to the person at the table beside him. "Excuse me," he said as he offered them one of his dimpled grins. "D'you think you can tell me about Wayne Academy?"

Personal History: Born in Southern England to a wizard father and Muggle mother and the youngest of three, Anne Richland is probably the most down-to-earth and firmly granted in reality. Unlike either of her siblings, Anne seems to be very responsible and practical -- not saying that neither of them are, of course, but they do tend to have their heads in the clouds more often than not, though she still loves them all the same.

For the first eight years of her life, she was raised as a Muggle with no clue as to her magical heritage. And then, one day, her brother received his letter to go to a magic school! The idea excited the young girl and when Emily got her letter the following year, Anne knew that it would be her turn soon, and sure enough, she soon joined her siblings at Hogwarts.

At school, she was sorted into a house with her brother and, though she missed her sister and wished they could all be together, she was thrilled to be with at least one of her siblings. The sorting hat had considered Hufflepuff, if only for a moment, before deciding that she was better suited as a Lion rather than a Badger.

Classwise, she's perhaps a bit brighter than most Gryffindors, but she's not particularly exceptional at any of her classes, save Potions. It's a class that requires lots of attention and patience, both of which Anne has, and the same goes for her other good class, Herbology.

Personality:

Being the baby of her family, it was only natural that Anne be a bit spoiled and doted upon. She tries not to take this for granted, of course, but she is used to getting her way most of the time. She's used to other people doing things for her and taking care of her, but that's also lead her to wanting to prove that she can do things on her own, and Anne has a strong desire to be taken seriously and outshine her siblings. She loves her siblings to no end, however, and would do anything for them. That year she spent at home while they were both at school? Yeah, that was miserable for her, because Anne hates spending time, or being, alone. She loves talking and the company of other people and, while she loves her parents, it just wasn't the same.

Compared to Jason or Emily, Anne's very firmly rooted in the reality of things. It's not that she takes herself or life completely seriously, because she doesn't, but she tends to lean more towards being responsible and hardworking than she does dreaming. Of course underneath it all are lots of dreams, ideas, and fantasies. It's not something she really gets out to people, but she tends to be very observant and a lot of what she sees and hears ends up being written down on a parchment, in a notebook, or whatever she has near -- she wants to put together a 'storybook' version of her life sometime, but right now, she's focusing on school and keeping up her marks.

Anne loves people, being around them, talking... whatever. She knows that you can learn a lot from the people around you, so she tries to be as friendly as possible, though she is a tad bit on the shy and quiet side, so she can't bring herself to approach other people. She won't turn away anyone if they talk to her, but unless you're a person she's comfortable with, she can't really bring herself to talk to people on her own.

Physical Description: With long, dirty blonde hair, green eyes, and a baby-type face, Anne's more cute than anything else. She's small, maybe five feet tall, if even that, and a very petite build. She'd learned about these things in class, hadn't she? Too bad she couldn't remember anything, since she was currently huddled up, arms wrapped around her little body as tears streamed down her cheeks. Her wand was uselessly laying at her side as she rocked back and forth a little, entirely unsure of what to do. She wasn't all that fantastic at wandwork, so she was feeing alone and helpless and that thing was getting closer and she didn't know what to do.

Anne Richland wasn't entirely used to having to fend for herself, so she was currently hoping, praying, that someone would come along and help her.

There is no middle ground here - these wizards can embody all that is the very best in the world... or all that is the very worst. They are heroes, or they are villains. Personal History:

On November 3, 1987, Alex was born to Elizabeth and William Easton. Anyone knows his parents could tell you that he inherited two of his biggest personality traits from his parents-- his father's superiority complex and his mother's vicious temper. He grew up in a very elitist enviorment. From a young age, his parents taught him that Muggles were not to be trusted and were undeserving of being involved with the magical world. Of course, this mentality's stuck with him over the years. Though he acts out a bit from time to time, he knows where he comes from, and it gives him a rather inflated ego. He was spoiled growing up as well-- anything he wanted, he always expected to get, and of course, he did.

Most people that he associated with as a child were, indeed, the children of his parents friends-- all young Purebloods, of course, and those that share the same opinion and mentality that he has. He learned to fly at a young age and has enjoyed it ever since. He was on the house Quidditch team until he lost his temper during a match and, as a result, lost his spot. Such is life!

Academically, he's done alright at Hogwarts. He is pretty bright, it's just a question of whether he chooses to apply himself. His marks in DADA have always been good, and his father always insisted on him keeping up his Potions. He's indifferent at the rest of his subjects (Transfiguration, History of Magic, Arithmancy, Runes), pulling through with decent grades. He is not a Prefect, never wanted to be, and pays little attention to those who are; he's never evinced much respect for authority that was bestowed, and not earned.

Alex has a sister of whom he's very protective as well-- he won't tolerate anyone causing harm to her and is quite likely to cause harm to anyone who would hurt the girl. Or look at her. But whatever. He encourages her to hang around the 'right' crowds and not become associated with those filthy, no-good mudbloods.

Life at Departie home is about as harmonious as you'd expect with four selfish, opinionated, outspoken people living there, two of them teenagers. Fortunately, the house is big enough that EVERYONE can slam a door and go off for a brood without disturbing anyone else's sulk.

Personality:
Alex is: arrogant, careless, cruel, quick-witted, self-centred, sarcastic, vicious and utterly confident to the point of carefree. Once you realise that he is entirely secure in the conception that the world does, in fact, revolve around him, everything else about him makes perfect sense. People DO care about his opinion on everything, he IS entitled to know everything that's going on, and whatever amuses him automatically amuses everyone else, right? Right.

Highly intelligent when it comes to understanding how other people tick, he has a keen insight and usually figures out rather quickly how to play it up to his advantage. If there’s a situation where he can easily pull a person in and make them trust him, he eats it up. It can be hard to see right through him sometimes, since he has a tendency to play up a role of being completely charming and sweet. Life is pretty much a big game for him and he's going to have fun in every possible way while he can.

He's a bit uncaring of other lives, though, since it really is a game to him, and he generally views most people as being useless. They're toys to him and he'll treat them as such. Unless you're one of the very few he's close to, he has no qualms about lashing out, using people, or causing them... harm. Ha.

That said, Alex is a sociopath-- he really has no remorse or shame for anything that he says or does to another person. He gets up easily and moves on, putting whatever he's done behind him, perhaps looking on it with a bit of pride.

Physical Description:

Alex is about five feet ten inches tall, with a build that leans more towards being scrawny and thin than it does muscular. He's a bit on the pale side as well -- though he loves Quidditch, is a bit obsessed, and plays a lot, he really doesn't get out much. On the rare occassions that he does smile, there's a small mark from a dog bite he received as a child that shows up -- it can appear as a scar or a dimple. Alex also has light blue eyes that, occassionally, are covered by glasses. One of his best features, though, is his sharply pronounced jawline.

He always walks with an air of confidence -- he dresses sharply, keeps his head held high, and acts as if he owns the school. Which, you know, he's convinced that he does.

Hobbies and talents:

Alex is a bit of a natural talent at Quidditch. He's been playing since he was a kid and has improved greatly over the years. Unfortunately... he has that nasty temper, which really works against him.

He's also everything that a 'bad' Slytherin embodies -- which, really, can be a good or horrible thing, depending on who you are. He's a skilled liar, manipulative, and will go to any lengths to get what he wants. He has a lot of ambition and once his mind is set? He'll stop at nothing to get what he wants.

Weaknesses:

Short-tempered. Really, it doesn't take much at all to send him into a furious rage. The slightest things can upset him and send him flying off the handle.

Tactless. He really doesn't care about the feelings of others and whatever he thinks/feels? The other will know it.

Bratty. If he wants something? Yeah, he'll be getting it, or else he'll have a fit.

Easily agitated. Most people annoy him quite a bit and he doesn't view them as being worth any of his time and/or effort.

Violent. Alex is prone to horribly violent outbursts and can't really control his rage very well, nor does he feel remorse for what he's done.

God complex. Alex is pretty much convinced that he really IS the end all to end alls and that he's entitled to anything and everything that he wants. And nobody can convince him otherwise.

I can't really imagine what Alex would smell with something like that, but if I had to guess, it'd probably have to do with the scent of home -- it's the only place that, despite drama and chaos, it's the only place he feels the most welome and at ease.

If there was one thing about Alex, he was always confident, usually to a degree of being completely carefree. He was also so self-assured and grounded in his thoughts in beliefs that nothing really shook him. So, when he found himself being cornered by a dementor, his mind went to those seemingly useless hours that he'd spent in classes at school. Most specifically, the hours he spent in DADA learning about those things and... yes. Yes he could handle this, just like he could handle this. Just like he could handle anything else.

His hand clutched at his wand, though he did hesitate for just a moment before lifting it and focusing on the spell.

"Expecto Patronum!"

Alignment: Pro-Voldemort. Mostly. But he does nothing to be really active.

This makes for excellent teaching potential. They are cheerful, athletic, brisk, and humourous, and also decidedly eccentric. Sometimes they get on people's nerves, because they don't have as many interpersonal skills as they seem to think they have, but it's hard to stay mad at a Ravenclaw Sagittarian for very long. Personal History: Kathleen was born in Dublin, Ireland to Cillian and Eileen Roberts, both of whom were half-bloods themselves. From a young age, she had a knack for 'guessing' or 'knowing' things, but her parents owed it all to growing up and having an active imagination. They did, after all, live in the country, a little ways away from the city and most people, so little Kathleen didn''t interact with people very much before attending Hogwarts. She spent a lot of time playing by herself, making up stories, games, reading, dressing up...etc. She had quite the active imaginaton and could be left alone to entertain herself for hours.

In school, she was sorted into Ravenclaw-- not much of a surprise for a girl who had spent most of her childhood reading and asking questions. She immediately threw herself into all of her classes, studying and working hard. It wasn't until her third year, however, that she took particularly well to her electives--all three of which held some form of divination. She scored top marks in Ancient Runes, Arithmancy, and Divination in class, on her OWLs, and on her NEWTs. She did well in her other classes (she refused to settle for second best), but not nearly as well as she did in the others.

She ended up being named first, prefect, and then Head Girl because of her hard work and follow-the-rules mentality. There were a few detentions here and there, but she didn't cause any *huge* conflicts. It was more of a kids-will-be-kids and kids WILL get in troube sort of deal. No Quidditch for her, though, because she was far too busy with other things. She supported her house, yes, but never played.

Post-school, she decided to try something different -- she entered the Unspeakable program at the Ministry. It was a strong sense of curiousity, and while she loved what the job entailed, it wasn't her passion. That in mind, she left her old job and decided to focus on what she was good at in school -- Arithmancy, Ancient Runes, and Charms, but most specifically, the former of the three. When she heard that there was a position to teach the subject, she jumped on it ASAP, took the job, and has been teaching for a few years.
Personality:

Kathleen is a very ambitious and driven woman-- one might think her to be a former Slytherin becaue of this. She sets high goals for herself and is pretty determined to reach every last one of them. She has strong work ethics and puts every bit of effort she has into the things that she does. She can't bring herself to settle for second best, and thus, won't let any of her students settle either.

Really, though, she just doesn't want to feel as if her full potential hasn't been reached. Her drive and attitude might make her come off as being a little cold-hearted and uncaring to some people, but she has a huge and caring heart. She's willing to bend over backwards and go out of her way to help others out, and so long as this isn't abused? She'll keep at it. But once her kindness is taken advantage of, she'll stop giving it to that person until they that person earns it back. She doesn't tolerate slacking off from anyone and is more than willing to give anyone the punishment they deserve.

Kathleen's a very studious person as well-- always has been, always will be. She particularly enjoys reading about various forms of divination in order to get a better insight on things. She's determined to be as informed as she can before talking to other people about various subjects or topics. She's very much against the idea that 'ignorance is bliss' and thinks people should be well-informed and knowledgeable.

Believe it or not, she's very capable of cutting loose and having a lot of fun-- a person can't be all work and no play, after all! Just, for her, the work part is more important and must come first. When that's done, however, she's more than willing to let down her hair and enjoy herself.

Physical Description: Kathleen is just a little bit above average when it comes to her height, standing at about five foot seven inches, and she has a slightly muscular build, but not overly so. Her hair is dark blonde and she has dark brown eyes. When she smiles, it's large, bright, and probably one of her most attractive features.

Arithmancy. Above all else, she managed to excell in this class in school, which obviously comes in handy considering she's teaching it now.

She's independant in her way of life and thinking. It's not an ohmygodineverneedamaleever sort of deal, but she believes in doing things for herself and doing them her own way. It runs along the lines of being stubborn, but in a helpful way.

Reading. Like any Ravenclaw, she's obsessed with reading, and can often be seen with various books laying around; most of the time she's in the process of reading two or three at once.

Secret-keeping, which of course, came in handy with her previous job. She's extremely trust-worthy and not gossipy at all.

Weaknesses:

Overthinking. She plays situations out over and over in her head, determined to get an answer/come to a conclusion. It can make her tired, worried, and a bit paranoid, but she can't bring herself to stop.

She's a control freak to the max. She needs for things to be a certain way, follow a certain pattern, and go in a certain order. It's borderline OCD, practically, though there are times that she can let go. Sometimes.

Kathleen can be quite restless. While she does like knowing a certain schedule, and having things planned ahead of time, she gets restless and bored fairly easily. She needs to be keeping herself busy most of the time, or else she gets rather antsy.

Her tolerance/patience level's not very high at all. She can only put up with excuses and nonsense for a iimited amount of time.

She'd had years of experience with this sort of thing. Sure, she hadn't been an Auror, but she had dealt with plenty of dark things in her life, so why should a pesky little thing like a dementor scare her? Sure, she had plenty of bad feelings washing over her and she did feel a tad bit helpless, but she knew better than to give into her fears.

Happy thoughts. Focus on.... the day all her hard work paid off and she started in the Ministry. Everything she had worked on and planned paid off for her that day and she had felt on top of the world. Pushing everything else from her mind, she thought solely about that day and lifted her wand.

Alignment: She pretty much thinks that war is an idiotic way of going about things, and she'd rather not take a side. If forced to pick, however, it'd be Dumbles.

Personal History: Tristina Hilarie Darcy was born on November 15, 1987 to Elizabeth and Nicholas Darcy in Kensington, England. She's a halfbood, though that's a fact that really wouldn't be known -- mostly, she'd be known as a Pureblood. She doesn't lie about her true heritage, ever, but she doesn't exactly broadcast it for the world to be known, as she does see how Purebloods could be superior to other bloodlines and doesn't want hers to hinder her any.

She was outgoing growing up, always wanting to run off and find something to do, but the girl ended up getting bored fairly easily, so one project was left behind to start on the next one. Her parents indulged (most) of her whims and wants, figuring it was better for her to become experienced in things as opposed to being ignorant. She took various lessons and classes growing up, as well as spent a quite a bit of time in bookshops in libraries.

Unfortunately, one of the reasons her parents indlged her so much was that they were always busy, so they needed something to occupy the girl's time. It was usually a sitter that took her places, so while her parents obviously love her very much (and she loves them in return!), they never had a 'proper' relationship. No, she's not bitter or angsty over this -- she gets it. She understands. But it has, in a way, affected her relationship with other people -- she gets fiercely protective, and at times maybe a little jealous, in her friendships.

Luckily for her, she found a good friend in Dariana Davison and spent quite a bit of time with the other girl -- they are, of course, still friends to this day. And, of course, she's made friends with her housemates and grown fond of them. Plus, she loves her house, and will TAKE DOWN anyone who thinks lowly of a person simply for being in Hufflepuff.

Personality: Tris is, in a word, a spitfire. She's feisty, outspoken, and afraid of little-to-nothing. With no filter seperating her brain from her mouth, most of her thoughts and opinions are broadcast for the world to know, and she's happy with it being that way. After all, if that's how she feels? She's being honest and that, in her mind, is extremely important. And, believe you me, she always has an opinion on a person or subject. She's a debater as well and will beat something into the ground, damnit, if she's sure she's right. Which she always is sure of that. If you had to compare her to a literary character, she'd be Elizabeth from Pride and Prejudice, or Kat from The Taming of the Shrew.

When she gets involved with something, she gets obsessed and can't bring herself to stop until she's completed a task, no matter how big or small it is. She can't bring herself to give up on anything, no matter the odds -- and, sure, while she can be cynical and pessimistic about things around her, she does have a fire and passion that drives her towards the things that she does believe in.

Tris is painfully loyal as a friend. She'd follow someone she cared about to the ends of the earth, giving up her own life if she has to. If anything happens that breaks that trust, however, it's damn near impossible to gain it back as it had been before, or if worst comes to worst, she can be a bitter and vindictive enemy.

Her weapon of choice? Sarcasm. It's a favourite of hers, using sarcasm against someone, anyone, as a way to get her point across. And, sure, she's brutally honest, but she usually doesn't mean harm by it. It's just easier for her to be completely forward and honest rather than sugarcoat things.

With the people she is close to, she's fiercely protective and tends to get slightly jealous over. It's out of love, of course, though she won't admit that (though it's completely and totally obvious) and brushes it off as someone needing to be the one to take charge and kick ass. So, that someone's going to be her.

Physical Description: The first thing a person would probably notice about Tris is her hair. It's blonde and always a mass of curls. She tries to straighten it from time to time, but she usually gives up on it, as it's too difficult to keep doing. She has soft green eyes as well, a fair complexion, and a slim frame, with just a bit of curves. Her fashion sense, when out of the usual school robes, is very hip and modern -- she doesn't always buy the best, but she does keep up with the current trends.

Photography. Not only does she love doing it, she's quite talented. She has an artistic eye and, during the summers, takes classes to improve her natural talent.

Loyalty. She has an insane amount of it and nothing can really make her leave her causes or the people in her life.

Honesty is the best policy, in her mind, and she's always full of it.

Weaknesses:

Stubborn. Good God is the girl stubborn. There's absolutely nothing in the world that can get her to change her mind once she has it set. She pretty much refuses to give up on anything as well, whether it be people or something that she believes in.

Tris likes to think that she's a lot bigger than her 5'4" frame actually is. She'll challenge anyone, threaten them, fight with them... etc, and if they happen to be male, she'll get quite upset if she thinks they're 'taking it easy' on her.

No. Tact. Whatsoever. She thinks it and whatever it was leaves her mouth before she has a chance to stop it. She might come off as being a bit insensitive because of it, but that's not the case. She cares about people a lot, but she figures if she feels it, she might as well say it.

She gets jealous of her friends quite easily. Sure, she knows and accepts they all have friends other than her, but that doesn't help her getting a little jealous when she sees them spending time with them.

She won't admit it, but she needs other people. Sure, she might act like the tough sort who's always helping everyone else, but really, she can't bring herself to step back and admit to how much she needs people in her life.

Patronus (for fifth years and older): The TOAD, most may see this as a humiliating patronus. I mean how are you supposed to strike fear into the hearts of evil with a toad... come on. But this patronus is far from a joke; its wisdom surpasses all, giving it a tactical advantage. And by using its massive and adhesive tongue it can spit it out at the enemy and suck it in, making your nemesis’s come to you. Then subsequently swallows them... thus absorbing there power and saving the day. Not a wise patronus to mess with!

Tris' love for photography and everything about it -- the time it takes, the smell a dark room produces, the red lights, and the end results... she loves it all. Oh, bloody hell. This was horrible and she could hardly bring herself to focus. Happy thoughts. Right. She had plenty of those, so why couldn't she think of any of them? It seemed as if the only things that could -- and would -- cross her mind were the times she wanted to run, hide, and never look at anyone again. The times she shoved aside to be there for her friends.

And now they were coming over her at once.

She squeezed her eyes shut, clutching at her wand. Her... happiest memories? Right, that narrowed down to friends and from there she could narrow it down to..

Meeting Dari. The thought of that was enough for her to be able to lift her wand and shout the incantation. "Expecto Patronum!"

Personal History:

Lucy was born to Madeline and William Sharpe, a few years after her elder sister. She grew up amongst her Pureblood relatives, always taught to believe that Purebloods were indeed superior. Part of her, of course, didn’t want to believe it —- but family word began to overrule and the young girl took the attitude of her relatives. She got along well with her sister and relatives, living the life of a spoiled Pureblood child. Unbeknownst to her, however, there were more problems in her life than she realized.

Lucy was active as a child, getting herself involved with as many things as possible. Whether it be outdoors with her brother, cooking with her mother, or reading a book alone, the girl never complained of boredom or not having anything to do. She could entertain herself for hours on end, quite content. One would think that, with her personality, she would end up being sorted into Ravenclaw or Gryffindor. It was a given, of course, that she would attend Hogwarts. It was just a matter of where she would be sorted.

At the age of ten, she received her Hogwarts letter, and the following school year, accompanied her brother on the train to the school. Upon arrival, she was sorted into , which out of the houses, she was most eager to enter. She was a social girl and made friends fairly quickly. When classes began, she discovered she had a knack for using a wand, and eagerly took to those classes. She also realized she had a great disdain for the ‘facts’ based class of History of Magic and oftentimes found herself dozing or daydreaming in the class, leading to detention after detention.

When it came time to choose her electives, she decided to add Divination and Ancient Runes to her class list, only to find that after beginning the latter, she despised the course, translations, and everything that came with it.. However, she stuck with it and oftentimes finds herself begging for help from her roommates.

During these first three years, she was happy and extremely social (mostly to other Purebloods, but she’d associate with the occasional half-blood if she found them worthy) and enjoyed school quite a bit. As the years progressed, she began to show more signs of belonging to the house she was sorted in. She realized she could manipulate others to her own will and enjoyed it. She also began to see what her family meant by being superior -- she was prettier, wealthier, and had a better family than those filthy mudbloods, so of course she was better!

Personality:
On the surface, Lucy's sweet, caring, and an extremely nice girl. She'll talk to anyone, help others out, and spends a good deal of her time socializing. She tries to get as close as she can to as many people as she can -- she wants to know everything about everyone and feels that, yes, she has every right to know whatever she wants. And, sure, she might not like spending time around Mudbloods, but avoiding them isn't the best idea in the world, so she stomachs it and moves along.

Over the years, she's become awfully good at playing up this role -- after all, if the idiots are stupid enough to believe her and not catch on, whose fault is it but their own? She sees people as toys to be played with and she gets a kick out of being able to manipulate them. And just as easily as she can get close to someone, she won't hesitate to stab them right in the back (save the people she genuinely cares for, of course). If people are blind, stupid, and naive to trust so easily, they've brought upon themselves to be taken advantage of.

So, obviously, Lucy's quite the little actress. Anyone who's close to her or knows her well enough knows she views herself and other Purebloods as being far superior to anyone else, though she's never once voiced this opinion outside of her small group of friends. To the world, she's completely open and accepting of everyone, but really, nothing disgusts her more than a Mudblood thinking that they have a place in the wizarding world (except perhaps a blood traitor). Playing nice, however, is part of her mentality -- it's far better to get, and have, people on your side as soon and for as long as you possibly can. After all, a person never knows when another might prove to be useful.

Lucy’s an elitist, manipulative, and ambitious little thing. She finds a way to work as many situations (and people) to work best for HER as opposed to anyone else. She always wants to be the best and will go to any lengths to achieve and get the things that she wants. She's used to always getting her way and refuses to settle for anything less.

Physical Description: With long, curly blonde hair, blue eyes, and a tall, full figure, she's a bit like a doll in appearance. She's about 5'11" tall (all stemming from being quite leggy) and has a built that's more 'full' and has more weight to it, but she's not 'big' by any means. A physical feature of hers that is easily noticable and definable is a small mole on her face, just between her two eyebrows, though a bit closer to the right. She used to try hiding this, but after a while, she gave up and decided to just let it be.

Hobbies and talents:
1.) Acting. Lucy's a fantastic actress, able to take on various faces and personas, depending on who she's surrounded herself with.

2.) To the very few Lucy lets in and is close to, she's painfully loyal and would do anything to keep them from being hurt. Sure, she might not say that about them, but she'd have a hard time betraying any person or cause that she believes in.

3.) She's very good at reading into people; what makes them tick, what bothers them, what their strengths and weaknesses are. She's a stickler for details and paying close attention to things. Being able to watch and observe people (in a non-stalker or creepy way) is a fantastic trait to have, in her mind, and very useful.

Weaknesses:
1.) Lucy relies a lot on the opinions and approval of others. She feels as if she must impress those around her, and when she doesn't, she feels like a terrible failure.

2.) When it comes to doing things for herself, Lucy's... well, not very skilled. Cooking? Cleaning? Isn't that what other people are hired to do? Sure, she learned bits and pieces when she was young, but she hardly applies/uses them.

3.) Lucy's very vain and on the shallow side. Her look are quite important to her, so she strives to keep them up to the best of her abilities and expects others to do so as well.

4.) She can never really make up her mind about anything. A lot of people would call her self-centered, but she can be generous as well, giving as selflessly in one moment as she thoughtlessly takes the next. Her mood is wildly changeable, and she is the epitome of a woman’s right to change her mind. She certainly does, every thirty seconds or so. It doesn’t matter what you do or say, as long as you mean it with conviction. Thus if you believe the opposite a moment later, still with conviction, that’s perfectly acceptable.

5.) She's a blind follower to her parents and what they want. Really, she doesn't fully understand the whole bloodline issue, but she's always followed without a question.

6.) While she may not openly admit to being fond of people, she does get attached, and deeply so. If anything were to happen to a family member or friend? She wouldn't know what to do with herself.

7.) Lucy's a drama queen, through and through. Everything is a big deal and must be reacted to accordingly.

All in all, Lucy's a spoiled little princess, and acts as such. She may play nicely, but she's really anything but that.

Personal History: Orlando is the eldest child of Oberon and Rosalind Vaughan, born three years ahead of his sister Titania, though he doesn't remember his birth parents very well. When she was three and Orlando was six, The Vaughans were murdered by Oberon's blood-elitist family. The only reason Orlando and Titania survived was because they were visiting with their mother's sister and brother-in-law, Jack and Karen MacFarlane, at the time.

Of course, Tani remains blissfully unaware that any of this happened. She knows her parents died, but she doesn’t know how, and doesn’t want to know. He didn't know at the time the details, but he knows now, and it's more than a little upsetting to him, but he deals with it. His aunt and uncle really are his mother and father to him and he loves them as if they were his birth parents. He misses them, of course, but he's happy.

He was raised, along with his sister, in an Irish Catholic, Muggle environment (which, while his background is still a big part of his life, he often has to set his beliefs aside to be able to do his job). When he went to Hogwarts, she had to spend three grueling horrible years by herself and he missed her terribly. When she finally got to school, he was insanely happy to finally have his little sister back with him again.

He was sorted into Ravenclaw, surprisingly enough. He was a quiet, shy sort of bookworm for his first few years. You know, that kid you had a crush on in school because he was the dorky!kind of cute. He was an awkward and shy kid, but as he grew older and got more comfortable with his looks, he grew out of it more and more, becoming more outgoing and confident by his seventh year. He still surprised everyone by deciding that he was going to be an Auror. It was a strange career move, seeing as most expected him to be an assistant to the head of some department in the Ministry, but there you go.

Personality: If one didn't know any better, they might think that Orlando is the serious, broody sort of guy who takes life and himself a little too seriously. Sure, this can be true sometimes, but it's not entirely the case. He's really a laidback guy with a good sense of humour. He's snarky and sarcastic-- most of what leaves his mouth is some sort of playful sarcasm.

No, he's not the OMG EMO/REVENGE about his parents' death. He knows that not everything can be fixed or taken care of that easily. No, he's an Auror because he wants to help protect others from what he and his family went through. Simply, he wants to help and feel like he's making some sort of change or difference. And... on a note of family, he's pretty much the big brother who has the "Touch my sister and die" mentality going on. He's protected and sheltered her for most of her life, which now? Now he kinda regrets because he's not entirely sure that she's going to ever be able to make it on her own. Most things he does nowadays is for her (including NOT getting hurt while on the job).

Surprisingly, Orlando's not a Gryffindor, but a Ravenclaw, of all things. He's brave, yes, and goes for what he believes is right, but he follows a logical process as often as he can. He sees a problem, asseses it, and follows a logical thought process and pattern to find the answer as often as he can. He doesn't like not being able to do that, what with his job being the way it sometimes can be, but he deals. He's also a shy, awkward thing by nature, but grew out of that over the years. He still gets a little flustered or embarassed easily, but chooses to ignore it.

Physical Description:
Orlando is tall, but most certainly not to be called lanky. Though he is slightly muscular, there are definitely others that are built sturdier than he is. He stands at a total of six feet and weighs in around 170 lbs depending on the day. His hair is a dark shade of blonde and he has hazel eyes that have the slightest flecks of green in them. He tries to shave as often as he can, but sometimes Orlando just gets the gruffy sort of look to him -- it's okay, he pulls it off well. All in all, Orlando is a pretty good-lookin' guy.

He has a spattering of freckles acoss his nose and cheeks, but especially whenever he even just steps out into the sun. Rather than really put on a decent tan, he freckles as his skin darkens. It's really annoying to him.

Hobbies and talents:

Acting. Orlando's pretty damn good at putting on a lot of acts and faces at a moment's notice. He wears a lot of masks and hides behind them most of the time. He's very easily able to change up his personailty, traits, and attitude depending on the company. He's himself around close friends and family, of course, but around most? They get an act.

Orlando reads. A lot. Like... obsessively to the point he can spout/quote random knowledge. He's a little above average when it comes to his DADA skills as well, as it's his favourite thing to read up on, which comes in handy with his being an Auror.

He has good reflexes, which helps quite a bit when dueling. Sure, he might like to think a lot and wotk situations out in his head, but when he does have to fight, he's quick on his feet and with his reactions.

Transfiguration, so much to the point he's been reading about becoming an Animagi for years and is able to do so himself. It started out as a 'just-for-fun' thing, but as he got older, he realized it could be helpful in his career, so he began working hard to be able to transform himself. His form is that of a dog and, yes, he is registered as one.

Weaknesses:

Claustrophobia. Horrible, horrible claustrophobia. When in tight spaces, crowds, or whathaveyou, he panics and needs to get out of there as soon as possible. It can get to the point where he has trouble breathing and functioning properly.

Orlando tends to overthink and overanalyze situations. He's an Auror, yes, and he does a good job at it-- but he tends to think before acting, which isn't always the best trait in his job. Sometimes it works out for him, others it doesn't. He beats himself up easily and always feels like he could have done something different. He's growing used to it, but he doesn't like what his job entails, which usually leads to him building up anger and frustration until he explodes from it all in a nasty way.

His little sister too, of course. He's protected her to the point where she's sheltered and naive about how the world really is. If anything were to happen to her? He'd blame himself, and really, it would be rightfully so. He overprotected her growing up and now? Now he has no clue how, or if, she'll survive on her own.

He doesn't do well with social situations either, in a typical Ravenclaw fashion. He's one who gets a little awkward and uncomfortable in large groups of people, typically going silent and listening/observing as opposed to be actively involved in talking. Another reason it shocked people he decided to be an Auror. And it's easy to tell when he's nervous or uneasy -- he tends to crack either his knuckles or his neck at these times, usually not even realizing that he's doing it.

Orlando's easily flustered as well. While, sure, he's witty and sarcastic, it doesn't take much to send him into a fit of hurried apologies and flushed cheeks. He likes to pretend that he doesn't do it, but it happens quite often. It makes his conversational skills even worse and leads to awkwardness.

He can't keep plants alive for very long. They're not very safe if left in his possession, so he doesn't like dealing with them very much. And, while he adores animals. he doesn't have much skill in actually dealing with/caring for them.

What would your character smell if they sniffed Amortentia (the love potion)? Honestly, it'd probably have to do with reading and the scent of a new book jut being opened.
Do you think your character is capable of successfully employing a Cruiciatus Curse? Why or why not? Being an Auror, he kind of has to know how to cast those -- he doesn't usually, of course, but the ability to do them comes with the job.

Of course, capibility =/= willingness, or wanting to even mention that he can. But, if it came down to it? He certainly could.
Describe how your character would react, in the form of a sample RP, if faced with a Dementor.

It's what he had been trained for -- fighting the dark and evil things in the wizarding world, but when Orlando was actually face-to-face with a dementor, it sent him into a stunned silence, a cold chill running down his spine. He almost couldn't focus. Beads of sweat streamed down his face and he had to blink away the pain, clenching tightly at his wand.

Right. Focus on the good. He could manage that.

After a moment, he lifted his wand, eyes narrowed a bit as he focused on the best memories he could think of. The day he became an Auror. Being able to see his sister after ages of being away. The rest of his family finding happiness.

His family being happy made him happy and that overrode anything else.

Alignment: Completely and totally good.

Requests: I'd kind of really like for him to be an Order member. And... he's been reading up on becoming an Animagi since early on in school, so if he could have the ability to transform it'd be fab. He'd most likely be a dog, but... yes.

Personal History:
James Thomas Aldo was born and raised on the outskirts of London. Until he was five, he lived with his mother, father, and siblings (he was the youngest), and then the accident happened. While on a trip to town, his mother was involved in a car accident and killed instantly. The family, needless to say, was shaken by the accident and not quite the same afterwards. Oh, some things changed for the better-- his father showered his children with even more love and affection to make up for the loss, but the absence of a female figure was obvious. While his father was amazing, and quite possibly one of the best a person could ask for when it came to nurturing and caring for his kids, he never really taught them how to be emotional or physically affectionate--something that would bother James for most of his life.

After his mother died, James began to cling to any female who would deal with him-- notably, the mother of one of his close friends, Kiley Barton. He became rather close to Kiley as well, gradually growing closer and closer to the girl over the years. He found himself fascinated by their library and would spend hours there, flipping through books--something that he never really had at home. While they weren't a poor family, the Aldos certainly didn't have much to spare on things that weren't essentials, so many of the things James received over the years were hand-me-downs from his older brother

He's fairly close to his siblings as well. Being the youngest of three, he quickly had to learn how to stand up for himself to his brother and sister as not to get trampled on. They, of course, were able to do wee bits of magic before he had a chance, which made him jealous and caused him to work even harder once he was in school. He always managed to get decent marks there. He wasn't the brightest in his classes, but he wasn't anywhere near the bottom. He does well for himself, particularly in classes he enjoys, such as History of Magic.

Personality:
Unless you're one of his close friends, James may come off as being an outspoken, and perhaps a bit arrogant, very typical Gryff. He's bold, states his opinions, and doesn't really think about the possibility of offending people. He's big on being honest to a fault, which makes him come off as being a person that he's not.

Those who are close to him, however, know him for who he really is-- a friendly, laid back, joking sort of bloke who cares deeply for his friends and family. He's willing to go to any lengths to keep them from harm and won't hesitate to harm those who hurt them. He's a joker with a good sense of humour and enjoys a good laugh. He tends not to take (most) things seriously, perhaps as a coverup for a slightly darker nature. He's also a sweetheart, always offering encouragement and advice.

...and he thinks up random nicknames for people. A lot. Though, girls are usually female Disney characters, but what can you do?

James gets depressed and offended rather easily and is prone to bouts of sulking and hiding away when things seem to go badly. He doesn't take well to rejection, though outwardly, he's good at covering up. Inside, however, he takes it quite personally and things get to him more than he cares to think about. He's not an emotional person either-- not because of being 'manly' or what not, he's just... not. He's not big on being affectionate with most people either. That sort of thing tends to make him awkward and shy away. He's not the type to openly flirt either-- he's far too laid back and really ' care much for that sort of thing.

Overall, though? He's a nice guy who, while tending to do stupid things, a loyal, dedicated, and good friend.

Physical Description: James stands at about six feet tall with a build that's just slightly muscular, but that's only because he adores playing Beater for Quidditch, and that'd give anyone decent arms. He's slim overall, though, and maybe just a bit thinner than he should be (and pale. Silly boy). His hair is a mess of dark brown curls that he doesn't bother trying to do much with and he has dark brown eyes that always seem up to something.

His best feature, however, is probably his smile. It's wide, dimpled, and full of life. And he flashes it as often as possible.

Hobbies and talents:

Quidditch. James has been playing for ages as a Beater and has gotten pretty damn good at it. He can play other positions as well, but he's best when it comes to being violent with a bat. He's bloody obsessed with it, and flying, and practices as often as he can.

Music. Whether it be singing, playing, or writing, James has a natural ability for the art of music. He might not admit this, but it's a skill he has.

In fact, James is creative in general. He's good at thinking up projects, ideas for pranks, gifts... etc. He has a blast doing it as well; most of the time it's to cheer someone else up or cause a few laughs.

Weaknesses:

Wandwork. James is complete and utter crap at it and gave up on it the moment that he could. He may be able to cast a few simple spells if he's lucky, but otherwise, he's horrible at it. Completely and utterly horrible.

James is a drama queen. Everything, to him, is a big deal. He's also horribly stubborn, tactless, and holds grudges like it's nobody's business. He's not quick to forgive whatsoever and, if you're not used to his hissy fits, he can be a bit hard to deal with when he starts to act so childish.

James tends to take insult or criticism far too personally and will sulk/brood over it for ages. He's a bit of a brat in that sense -- he's always convinced that HE was in the right, and damnit, people should realize that!

Rash. Act first, think later! That's his motto, basically. Add not having tact to that, a horrivle temper, and being loud-mouthed and opinionated, and you have James.

He was crap at wandwork. James'd drop any classes involving casting spells and waving wands as soon as he could because he'd been utterly horrid at it.

It just figured something like this would happen. Oh, he remembered what they said encountering a dementor would be like. The horrible feelings. The cold. The general ickiness of it all.

And there wasn't much that he could do. He couldn't do the spell to drive them back, couldn't protect himself... so he did the only thing he could think of.

He ran away, cursing under his breath, stumbling all the while.

Libra is the seventh sign of the zodiac and governs the kidneys, lower back, and buttocks. Positive traits include a rational, logical mind, a fine sense of aesthetics, diplomatic aplomb, good taste, charm, skill with words, intelligence, an innate sense of fairness and justice, and exceptional beauty. Negative characteristics include indecisiveness, excessive dependence on other people, conformist tendencies, manic depression, extravagance, and manipulation.

All Ravenclaws are intellectual, but Ravenclaw Libras have their heads in the clouds more than most (Pisces Ravenclaws may have them beat, but not by much). They are romantic and idealistic, and prefer to live in the world of pure theory rather than in the messy world of action. While social and pleasant, they are still quiet and shy, and rarely make the first move when in a group of people. Mother: Cassandra Pascal, 39. Cassandra came from an old, well-to-do English and Pureblood family, and raised in just the right way. Elitist and spoiled, she thought herself better than the rest of the general population, until she met some crazy Gryffindor bloke that changed her mind.
Father: Edward Pascal, 39. Like Cassandra, Edward came from an upstanding Pureblood family (though, they were Scottish), but he refused their ideas early on, became a traitor in his teens, and left them soon after leaving school, only staying in touch with his twin sister.

PERSONAL HISTORY: Sam was one of those kids who was born with a silver spoon in her mouth. Her mother's side of the family was old, established, and extremely wealthy. Her father was born into that sort of life, but quickly rebelled against it and was subsequently burned off of the family tapestry for being so outlandish and rebellious. Her mother was never 'officially' burned off of hers, but the family makes no sort of real contact. Sam knows her aunts and uncles, sure, but doesn't go out of her way to talk to them-- same with her grandparents.

Despite the fact her family has enough money to go completely without working (herself included when she's old enough), she was rarely simply 'handed' things. Sure, she got gifts and presents growing up, but her parents also had her work to earn money she wanted. They didn't want to end up with a spoiled, lazy brat on their hands, and they also wanted her to be able to appreciate the things she was given. She's always had, and still does have, chores to do when she's at home, helping to take care of their home and animals. Occasionally, she forgets she even comes from such a wealthy background. It's not something that crosses her mind very often and if someone brings it up, she gets rather flustered and embarrassed over it. Sam's an extremely modest person when it comes to family, herself, and....loads of other things. She was raised to appreciate both worlds, so unlike many Pureblood children, she understands both very well.

She was always an extremely outgoing child. She had a tendency to wander off from her parents, talk to complete strangers, and get into things that she really had no business getting into. The outdoors were her favourite place to be and she spent loads of time running around on the family estate, riding one of her horses, or just sitting out and reading a book. She always found herself fun things to do and rarely complained of boredom.

At Hogwarts, she was sorted into Ravenclaw. Sure, she was outgoing, daring, and adventurous, but it was all because she wanted to learn about things. Sam possesses a natural curiosity for the world and people around her and wants to know as much as possible. She just happens to be willing to do really crazy things to get that knowledge. She worked hard over the years, doing best at wandwork, bad at History of Magic and Potions, but overall got excellent marks.
tendenly with a slightly tomboyish edge. It's a bit of London street-chic, so it's quite unique. She's a bit obsessed with accessories as well -- mostly, hats, shoes, and belts. Her school uniform is always neat and in place, though if you catch her before an early class, she might be slighty mussed, because she is not a morning person. At all.

Personality: Sam's a really nice girl. Like... really, reallly nice. She's open to everyone and has a big heart. She firmly believes in giving a person more than one chance, because... really. Why hold grudges when life is short? Live it up! That said, she's friendly and has a smile for everyone, no matter how they may have treated her in the past. Because of this, it can be somewhat easy to take advantage of her. She won't catch on right away, but when she does? She can get very bitter, and maybe want to get back at that person in her own special way.

Samantha also has issues dealing with any strong emotions. She likes to be as mellow and relaxed as possible, so dealing with anything that can throw her off of that is something she does not want. She's mastered the art of ignoring and pretending things have not happened. Life is so much easier that way.

Sam is very open to others, and has a heart for everyone. If you need a shoulder to cry on, she'll hold you; if you need someone to listen, she'll lend an ear; if you're belly's aching, she'll make you a sandwich; etc. She's not all that shy, and is definitely able to just walk right up to people and start a conversation, or start drilling them with questions as she is known to do. She wouldn't be called an introvert or an extrovert, really. She's just a very open and caring person who wants the best for everyone.

She believes in fairness and justice for all, and will fight to the death for that. There’s a belief of ‘protect the innocent, not punish the guilty’—she’ll fight for those who need someone to fight for them, but she won’t actively go out to seek revenge for something done to her.

She’s a bit of clingy person, needing the acceptance and approval of others before she can move on with something. It’s hard for her to make up her mind about anything, which can leave her in a huge rut. If she’s stuck between two things, she does the Ravenclaw thing by weighing her options, but that doesn’t make the decision making process any easier.

When it comes to other people and getting what she wants, she’s not above manipulating them to her will. Guilt trips? Oh, yes. She’s definitely not past using those to get what she wants.

Over all, however, she's a sweetheart. The girl next door. Whatever you want to call it, she's a genuinely nice, optimistic person who looks for the best in everyone/thing.

Physical Description: Although Sam's just above average in height, standing at about 5'7", her build isn't exactly the 'dream' one. She has a longer upper body with short legs that don't exactly match up to it, with wider hips and lower half. While she's blessed with being naturally very skinny, she's painfully flat chested, though she's come to accept this over the years. Her hair is brown and curly, and her eyes are a light shade of brown, with a complexion that's smooth and fair. Her lips are fuller than most, giving her a bit of a natural pouty look.

Sam's very easy flustered -- a simple compliment can send her into a flurry of red cheeks and fluster. She has a tendency to play with her hair quite a bit and bite her bottom lip whenever she's thinking, nervous, or feeling a embarrassed. Her voice and hands are very animated when she speaks to anyone.

She has a very casual sense of dress -- usually jeans and a nice top, though she's positively obsessed with accessories, mostly shoes, belts, and handbags. Especially shoes. Her uniform's usually worn neatly, though if you catch her before an early class, she's probably not all pulled together yet.

She reads and studies. A lot, mostly because she has an insane curiousity about people and the world around her, so she like to spend time studying, observing, and asking people questions. She's a bit above average when it comes to her intelligence (not ohmygosh SUPERSMART, though... just a little brighter than the norm), due to her habits and need to know things. Once she has a question, she needs an answer and won't stop until she gets one.

Because it's a natural thing for her, and because it's her favourite class, she's excellent at Charms. She finds them to be the most useful out of her classes and is constantly looking up new ones to try out/learn.

Weaknesses: Despite her friendly and outgoing nature, Sam remains rather detached and distant from most people -- sure, there are a select few she's close to, but she has yet to let anyone all the way in. The idea of getting too close to anyone scares her, though she won't admit that. She never full opens up to anyone and always makes sure that there's a small, safe distance between herself and others.

Her optimism tends to leave het open to being taken advantage of/hurt. She's forgiving, upbeat, and willing to give the shirt off of her back to anyone who needs it, and she can't really tell when people are taking her kindness for granted. She's willing to do anything to help anyone, at any time, even if it might be inconvient for her, and she really can't tell anyone 'no'.

While she has a lot of booksmarts (she has loads of random knowledge, facts, and quotes tucked away that she can pull out at a moment's notice), when it comes to dealing with people/emotions? She's not nearly as bright. If it's not something she can put logic behind or rationalize, she has a difficult time handling and/or understanding it.

She's petrified of snakes, and no, it's not some typical girly fear. When she was a kid, there was accidental magic cast and hair ribbons turned into live snakes. Oh, yes.

Sam can't lie to save her life. Her emotions are always on display for the world to see, so she can insist otherwise, but everyone can tell exactly how she feels.

To the few that she's close to? She's clingy. She's needy. And she can't stand the idea of them leaving her -- one of her greatest fears is being left or abandoned. It's a bit of an irrational fear, but it's still there.

What would your character smell if they sniffed Amortentia (the love potion)? Well, moe than likely, it'd be a cross between a fresh rain and the tiniest bit of a scent that she knows what it is, but she can't place it to save her life.
Do you think your character is capable of successfully employing a Cruiciatus Curse? Why or why not? No, no, and no. Sure, she's really good at wandwork, but she'd never be able to hurt anyone that much. Ever. No matter how much she loathed or despised them.

She was never one to get that upset, and when she did, she found herself bouncing back fairly easily, seeing as it was never a problem that was worth dwelling on. She dealt with things in her own special way and moved on as quickly as possible. It was how she lived, because she was a coward and, unless sat down and forced, never dealt with her problems head on.

And now it felt like every problem was washing over her and waves, over and over again, and she could not deal with it. Everything was echoing in her mind, making her chest clench and her eyes squeeze shut rather tightly, tears managing to leak their way through.

She couldn't breathe and she was shaking and she could not handle this. Her wand was held loosely in her hand as she swallowed hard, attempting to get rid of the large lump in her throat. She couldn't pretend to be strong here and, without that false sense of security, she felt lost and alone...

Alone.

The idea made the tears fall a little more as she took a few steps back, shaking, and hardly able to breathe, though somewhere in the back of her mind, she knew she had to face her probems head-on.

Before, she traveled around a bit, trying get a grasp of how others viewed and went about doing the subject. Before that, however, she worked as an Unspeakable... and who can really say what they do, eh?

Personal History:

Kathleen was born in Dublin, Ireland to Cillian and Eileen Roberts, both of whom were half-bloods themselves. From a young age, she had a knack for 'guessing' or 'knowing' things, but her parents owed it all to growing up and having an active imagination. They did, after all, live in the country, a little ways away from the city and most people, so little Kathleen didn''t interact with people very much before attending Hogwarts.

In school, she was sorted into Ravenclaw-- not much of a surprise for a girl who had spent most of her childhood reading and asking questions. She immediately threw herself into all of her classes, studying and working hard. It wasn't until her third year, however, that she took particularly well to her electives--all three of which held some form of divination. She scored top marks in Ancient Runes, Arithmancy, and Divination in class, on her OWLs, and on her NEWTs. She did well in her other classes (she refused to settle for second best), but not nearly as well as she did in the others. It was almost an unnatural sort of talent--it wasn't until later, though, that she found out she DOES have the sight, but it's not something she can turn on or off, or channel very easily.

After school, she entered the Ministry, training as an Unspeakable. A few years of training later, she was a certified Unspeakable, and went about on various missions and doing resarch. She spent a few years doing that before deciding she wanted to see other parts of the world, develing deeper into the world of Divination. As an unspeakable, she began to find more about the subject, and she really wanted to ee other views on it.

Eventually, however, she settled down. But now that she's found out that there's an opening at Hogarts, so she decided to take on the position.
Personality:

Kathleen is a very ambitious and driven woman-- one might think her to be a former Slytherin becaue of this. She sets high goals for herself and is pretty determined to reach every last one of them. She has strong work ethics and puts every bit of effort she has into the things that she does. She can't bring herself to settle for second best, and thus, won't let any of her students settle either.

Really, though, she just doesn't want to feel as if her full potential hasn't been reached. Her drive and attitude might make her come off as being a little cold-hearted and uncaring to some people, but she has a huge and caring heart. She's willing to bend over backwards and go out of her way to help others out, and so long as this isn't abused? She'll keep at it. But once her kindness is taken advantage of, she'll stop giving it to that person until they that person earns it back.

Kathleen's a very studious person as well-- always has been, always will be. She particularly enjoys reading about various forms of divination in order to get a better insight on things. She's determined to be as informed as she can before talking to other people about various subjects or topics.
